Social media influencers are paid to SWAY your health opinions

December 6, 2023

Is the EXPERT giving you advice on social media really an INFLUENCER in disguise???

Friend, don’t believe everything you see on the internet.

It’s BAD ENOUGH that people with health concerns keep consulting “Dr. Google”…

And checking their symptoms on websites instead of seeing a REAL doc for a full evaluation.

I mean, how many times have you diagnosed yourself with something TERRIFYINGLY serious… when it turned out to be nothing at all to worry about??!

But there’s ANOTHER danger you need to be aware of… one that involves the MODERN technology that’s become a part of our DAILY lives.

It could lead you down the WRONG ROAD when it comes to your health…

And you could wind up MANIPULATED… without even knowing it!

I’ll share with you how to AVOID becoming a PAWN in a corporate marketing ploy in a moment…

But first, let’s talk about your scrolling habits.

Social media has TAKEN OVER our lives in a big way… with our “feeds” providing much of our information.

You’ve got to take it all with a grain of salt, my friend…

Because even though those accounts might be “verified”… and SEEM like they’re legitimate…

Those “experts” who are telling you how to live your live might be hiding a SINISTER secret.

According to a new exposé, they could be on somebody else’s payroll!

That’s right – lobbying groups, corporations, and Big Food “associations” are BANKROLLING social media posts by so-called dieticians and nutritionists.

These social media “influencers” are DEFENDING dangerous food additives… like aspartame…

With ZERO science to back up their claims.

And what might seem like a TRUSTWORTHY source of health information… could actually be making you a PATSY for a secret advertising scheme!

Posts like these aren’t actively REGULATED by the FTC or any other governing body…

So there’s NOBODY keeping this misinformation from being distributed WIDELY.

Remember, anybody on social media who’s trying to INFLUENCE you only has their OWN interests at heart.

They’re not trying to do what’s best FOR YOU.

They’re ONLY interested in what enriches them… either through these kinds of sponsored (though sometimes undisclosed) posts…

Or by posting whatever it takes to gain MORE followers.

If you’re going to take ANY dietary or nutritional advice seriously… make sure it comes from someone with REAL credentials…

A PASSION for the truth…

And the HONESTY to reveal any financial conflicts of interest.

Someone who’s TRULY interested in public health will put all their cards on the table…

And leave NOTHING to suspicion.

So, next time you see somebody online trying to SWAY your opinion… look for hashtags (starting with the # symbol) that look promotional…

And scan the comments and description for any mention of a particular corporation or trade group.

If you’ve got ANY question as to what the truth is… rely on scientific studies that have been peer-reviewed and published in bona fide medical journals…

And NOT someone who looks as though they could just as easily be giving you a makeup tutorial as health advice.

In pursuit of the truth,

Dr. Marc S. Micozzi, M.D., Ph.D.
